I have returned from a lovely week in Florida.   It was nice to get away for a bit and enjoy a change of scenery.    I think I took about 300 photos this trip.   I won’t bore you with all of them.  These are just a taste.   I think that beach chair picture needs to be made into a painting.   I took a bunch of photos with paintings in mind.   Perhaps this summer I will have some time to get back into painting.

Even though I was on vacation, I still tried to keep up with the bead challenge and earring challenge.   The challenge for the 18th was to finish an unfinished beading project.    I took the easy route and finished the Wedgy Widget earrings I started while teaching class on Saturday.Please pardon the carpet pictures, I was on vacation and in a hurry to get these snapped.   I like this color combo.

And just so I didn’t feel like a total slacker, I finally finished the felt ball earrings with hand made bead caps.     We made the bead caps at a bead society meeting last year with Candie Cooper.  I would like to make more of these bead caps.   I need to get a circle punch.    I cut the pink bead caps by hand and they are pretty wonky. I was going to get a better picture of these when I got home, but my mom asked to keep them, so I let her.   I think they came out well.   I like the wonkiness of the bead caps.
