Where August went part 2

By | September 7, 2012

Once I had recovered from Gen Con, I had a few obligations to fulfill.  One of which was a bead swap for which I had to bead 11 tubes. Diane and her pal Stephney in England organized this swap.   I had to make 5 tubes for people in the US and 5 for people in the UK and one for me.     It was bad to procrastinate until two weeks before the deadline, but sometimes, that’s how things go.     A few minor glitches occurred, mostly due to my little fuzzy helper.    Arya stole tubes twice.  The second time around she stole 3 of them.  One is still missing, but since one of the tubes was supposed to be for me, I am the one missing out.   It will turn up eventually, but so far I have not found it.    Spending most of a day looking for tubes while you are on a deadline is not fun.    It’s a good thing she’s so cute…

I took pictures of all of the tubes I beaded.   I’ll just show a little sneak peak since I don’t want to ruin everyone’s surprise.

I should get 10 tubes back in my colors by the end of September.   We have until February to make a necklace with them.   Should be interesting.  I can’t wait to see what I get.  I”ll be sure to post a picture of them  when they arrive and my finished piece whenever it’s finished.

Hi Kelly,
Anytime you are back for a visit, I would be happy to teach you whatever you would like to learn. Right now I am wracking my brain trying to come up with some new classes to send to Bead and Button. So far I am uninspired. Are you still dyeing? I got to throw a couple pieces into an indigo pot last summer, but that’s about it. I have a bunch of sock yarn I would like to dye, but I have heard you need different stuff for wool and alpaca. In any case, dyeing is a summer project since my home studio isn’t a “wet” studio. Good to hear from you.
