Holiday Projects Revealed…

Here is the first installment of the Christmas crafting/making. That pile of supplies turned into 1 necklace, 1 bracelet, 8 neckwarmers and 3 dolls. I made a lot of stuff this year. I knit 2 hats, 8 neckwarmers, a pair of socks, and a pair of felted slippers.
In the sewing department I made 3 super cute dolls for my nieces using the Black Apple doll pattern available at the Martha Stewart website.
I also made some little aprons and vests for the older girls. I suspect there may be a few more doll clothes in their future…

There was also some jewelry making. In June I bought a glass tile pendant kit from Craft Fantastic . I had been wanting to experiment with putting photos into jewelry, and this is an awesome and affordable way to do it. They also have a large selection of pre-sized art to choose from too if you don’t want to make your own. At the last minute I decided to make a handful of pendants for emergency gifts. I was hoping to have a few leftover to put in the shops, but my brother bought most of them. Those remaining are destined as gifts for a few friends that I didn’t get a chance to see last month. I am definitely going to be ordering more of the glass tiles soon. One of my goals for the new year is to do a few little bird sketches to work up into pendants.
I’ll be back soon with knitting pictures.

The kids really liked the dolls, I think, especially Kate.
I think you should do some game component drawings with your next batch of glass tiles.
